Two soldiers arrested on suspicion of planning acts of terror for a banned neo-Nazi group have been released without charges. The pair, both aged 24, were taken into custody on September 5 and were questioned over their alleged involvement with National Action. They were released from West Midlands Police custody on Saturday (September 9). The two men were arrested alongside another pair, from Birmingham and Powys, who remain in custody. All four have been confirmed as serving members of the armed forces. A fifth man was arrested by Royal Military Police in Cyprus the same day and was transferred to West Midlands Police on September 7. Detectives have been granted extra time to question the men. All three remaining suspects were arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism, as well as membership of a proscribed organisation.
