Hitesh Lakhani, a 42-year-old police constable based on the Central West Command Unit, will be sentenced at the same court on January 10, 2020.

The court heard that on September 5, 2018, while off duty, PC Lakhani called police to say a child had been sexually assaulted in Uxbridge.

An investigation was launched, however, no related allegations were identified and analysis of CCTV showed the alleged offence did not happen.

The MPS said PC Lakhani remains on restricted duties and now that criminal proceedings have been completed, a misconduct process will commence.
