Trial date set for officer charged with rape and assault
A trial date has been set for a City of London Police officer accused of rape.
PC Daniel Condon has been charged with two counts of rape and one count of actual bodily harm, the force said in a statement on Monday (January 8).
He appeared at Guildford Crown Court on Friday (January 5) and a trial date has been set for Monday, February 3, 2025.
Detective Superintendent Carly Humphreys, head of Professional Standards Department at the City of London Police, said: “The charges relate to allegations made against the officer while he was off duty on Saturday May 14, 2022.
“The officer was immediately suspended following his arrest.”
