The SPA is advertising for three “exceptional police leaders” to join Police Scotland’s executive team and support the chief constable to shape the next important phase of policing in Scotland.

SPA chair Martyn Evans, who will lead a panel to appoint the assistant chief constables, said: “These are significant leadership roles in the second largest police force in the UK.

“As we look towards the next important part of our journey, we are looking for assistant chief constables with commitment, energy, and ideas to support the chief constable.”

The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Friday April 19.

The SPA said it expects to announce successful candidates in late May.
