Officer faces racially aggravated public order charge
An officer from Cambridgeshire Constabulary will appear in court today (July 21) to face a charge of racially aggravated public order, following an Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) investigation.
The charge against Detective Constable Daniel Buckett relates to an incident when the officer was off-duty at Lola Lo nightclub, Cambridge, on December 3, 2021.
The IOPC investigation followed a conduct referral from the force in December 2021. The investigation was concluded in March 2022 and the IOPC passed a file of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service, which authorised the charge.
