Capita has been chosen by Crown Commercial Service (CCS) to manage a framework that will provide bespoke training services to public sector organisations and the Civil Service.

The new CCS Managed Learning Services framework agreement enables a range of organisations, including the emergency services, government departments, councils and NHS Trusts to make savings on the cost of bespoke training and the development of staff.

Knowledgepool, which is a division of Capita, will manage the framework. The framework specifies that more than half of the spend through the framework will be subcontracted through smaller, specialist training providers.

Benefits of the framework include:

•Greater choice and flexibility to suit individual needs;

•Transparent pricing with a simple structure allowing public sector bodies to pay for only what they use, ensuring the best value for money;

•Bigger savings – building on the success of the previous framework, customers can expect further savings due to the new tiered pricing approach; and

•A continuously developed catalogue of public sector commonly required courses.

Dave Marsh, Knowledgepool managing director, said: “This framework will provide public sector organisations with access to quality learning and development services, which provide value for money and support the delivery of excellent public service.”

Peter Lawson, CCS strategic category director, said: “This new framework enables the public sector to realise maximum commercial benefits while investing in developing the staff that deliver excellent services.”
