The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) will use SAP software for its corporate enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution.

Employing more than 31,000 officers, 14,000 police staff and 4,500 traffic wardens and police community support officers (PCSOs) the MPS is aiming to achieve greater efficiency from existing resources.

The MPS already uses SAP software for its financial systems and intends to exploit the capabilities of its evolving SAP environment to the fullest, supporting frontline policing as well as back office functions.

By streamlining core processes with SAP ERP, the MPS will be able to phase out appropriate legacy applications.
