The LED Lenser F1 also features HA III anodising in accordance with military standards, is watertight to IPX8 standard (operates in depths of up to 2.5m for 30 minutes), has electronic regulation with a temperature sensor and uses optimised lighting.

Performance is up to 400 lumens from a single CR123A battery with a beam distance of 100m.

At 88mm in length and weighing just 69g, the F1 offers three light functions (power/defence strobe/low power), has a ‘burn’ time of two hours and uses corrosion-resistant gold-plated electrical contacts.

LED Lenser recently announced a number of upgrades to its product range, including the latest Cree® LED chip that offers low heat generation and a longer lifespan, and an increased diameter reflector lens for a greater and more equally lit area, giving a larger and clearer field of vision.

Paresh Ruparelia, UK marketing manager at LED Lenser, explained: “Our torches are used in a number of critical situations, from police to mountain rescue teams, so it’s crucial that they are of the highest standard. From the inside out, every aspect of our torches have been carefully redesigned to deliver an outstanding level of performance.”
