Airwave shortlisted for two international Tetra awards

Airwave has been shortlisted in two categories for the International Tetra Awards 2015. Now in their third year, the awards recognise excellence in the field of Tetra radio communications.

Airwave has been shortlisted in two categories for the International Tetra Awards 2015. Now in their third year, the awards recognise excellence in the field of Tetra radio communications.

“Delivering great customer service is core to what we do, so to be acknowledged for our achievements is particularly rewarding,” said Richard Bobbett, chief executive officer of Airwave.

“2014 was a busy year for Airwave, having worked on a number of high-profile events, over and above ensuring 24/7/365 service availability for our customers. Parallel to delivering service excellence to our customers is our sustainability programme, which creates long-term value for our customers, people and stakeholders by keeping sustainability at the heart of our business.”

Airwave has been shortlisted for:

•‘Best Use of Tetra for public safety’. Nato 2014 Summit – an Airwave case study into providing critical communications services to the largest security operation in Wales’ history; and

•‘Green Tetra Award’. The Airwave network – sustainability by putting the planet, people and partnership first by improving the social, environmental and economic impact of the business in the communities served.

The winners will be announced at a gala dinner and ceremony taking at The Landmark Hotel in London, on Thursday March 5.

Airwave Solutions, along with UK Broadband Networks and Vodafone, was not included in updated list of suppliers competing for the contracts in Lot 3 (mobile services) of the new Emergency Services Network.
