Two officers have been arrested after planning to commit misconduct in public office and to steal and supply drugs. Early morning raids by West Midlands Police’s counter corruption unit saw eight people detained on Tuesday (February 14), including the two officers. The pair, aged 47 and 35, are based in the Perry Barr area of Birmingham. Both were arrested in their homes. The other detainees include a 42-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman from Derby, and a man from Alum Rock, who were linked to the drugs conspiracy. The remaining three men are accused of conspiracy to commit misconduct in a public office.
