A police constable has been dismissed after allegedly vanishing from duty. PC Richard Musgrave, 52, reportedly went missing from a Cambridgeshire police station in July 2016 to give a woman and her friends a lift. He later allegedly drove to an industrial estate to eat a kebab and was unable to be contacted. The incident sparked a search by colleagues who were worried about his welfare. PC Musgrave claimed he had been on the estate patrolling for burglary and his earpiece had come out of his radio. However, a four-day hearing in Peterborough concluded he had breached standards of honesty and integrity, discreditable conduct and duties and responsibilities. He was dismissed without notice.
