Launched as part of Operation Strikeout, the West Midlands Police have taken the unprecedented step of naming alleged criminals they want to trace.

Eleven names and faces appear on the ‘WANTED’ website that is now live at www.west-midlands.police.uk/wanted. Assistant Chief Constable (ACC) Stuart Hyde, who is leading the operation, said “We have exhausted every available means for trying to capture these wanted individuals. The internet will allow us to post their images and ask for assistance from the public concerning their whereabouts, as they may no longer be in the Midlands region. Strikeout has been running for just two weeks and already in one host hotspot area of the West Midlands, robbery and violent crime has already reduced by 67 per cent.”
