Two Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) officers have been dismissed following an investigation managed by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).

An MPS internal misconduct hearing concluded that Sergeant Marcus Garvey and PC Wayne Campbell, who were based at Eltham police station, deliberately gave inaccurate accounts about the arrest of a 24-year-old man on January 26, 2008, which led to his prosecution for possession of cannabis.
