The Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (Code of Practice C and Code of Practice H) Order 2006

Parliament has approved the commencement of a new PACE Code of Practice (Code H) which relates to for the detention of terrorism suspects with effect from midnight on 24 July 2006. (See SI 1938/2006). PACE Code H sets out the requirements for the detention, treatment and questioning of suspects held in police custody under Section 41 and Schedule 8 of the Terrorism Act 2000. PACE Code C has been amended to remove reference to terrorism.
