Telephonetics VIP, specialists in speech recognition and voice automation, is holding a complimentary event for UK police forces to discuss and demonstrate how they can use speech technology to help achieve national call handling standards.

The event, to be held on May 14 at the Moat House, Acton Trussell, Staffordshire (www.moathouse. co.uk), will feature a number of presentations from police forces including South Yorkshire Police, Lothian and Borders Police, and Hertfordshire Constabulary. The forces will discuss how they are using speech solutions to provide a timely and good quality call handling service for both 999 and non-emergency calls.
