Premier Interlink’s PremierCell – a secure modular prison building – is a quick and economical way to ease prison overcrowding.

The six-cell modular unit can be configured into multi-storey prison house blocks and has been fully tested by the prison service’s National Tactical Response Group (NTRG).

Each six-cell prison module has steel reinforced walls, floors and ceilings and each 7.2sq m prison cell is designed for single occupancy, with its own shower, handbasin, toilet facility and an external service duct for easy maintenance access.

The prison modules have received Ministry of Justice approval for use in Category B and C regimes making them ideal for use as temporary police cells or permanent custodial facilities as part of the Government’s programme to increase prison capacity.
