Reliance launches specialist recruitment service

Reliance Resource Solutions service includes the specialist recruitment of security professionals, in particular skilled former and recently retired police officers, to fulfil peak demands for staff during major and volume crime investigations. Other areas of expertise include the provision of complete managed services such as training, contingency resource planning, career resettlement advice, and various forms of personnel due diligence.
Rupert Gibb of Reliance said that police forces throughout the UK continue to experience increasing ongoing day-to-day resourcing difficulties caused, in part, by increasing operational demands. Limited pools of warranted officers are constantly stretched across all operational disciplines, a situation which is worsened during the investigation of major incidents which can significantly impact on frontline policing.
Under such circumstances, many of the tasks the police are called upon to carry out (e.g. house-to-house enquiries and crime scene protection) do not require the powers of warranted officers; they could instead be delivered by specialist experts from outside providers, thus freeing up warranted police officers to focus on core policing tasks.
