The police and crime commissioner (PCC) for West Yorkshire, Mark Burns-Williamson, has issued a contract notice seeking up to two suppliers for a four-year contract to provide mobile devices, data, and ancillaries to eight police forces and seven fire and rescue services/brigades.
The minimum framework scope valued at £4.2 million is based on the initial anticipated requirement for the PCC for West Yorkshire, excluding any device refresh.
The maximum framework scope is valued at an estimated £55,275,000, based on all 15 forces and fire services contracting for the full duration of the four-year term, including two device refreshes and an additional percentage to allow sufficient scope, the notice says.
The framework will be available for the police forces of Cleveland, Durham, Humberside, North Yorkshire, Northumbria, South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire, together with Dyfed-Powys Police in Wales, and the fire and rescue services of Cleveland, Durham, Humberside and North, South and West Yorkshire.
The contract is expected to start on March 5.
