Police Constable Darren Perry regularly met a married woman at work in 2015/16, a Lincolnshire Police gross misconduct panel was told.

He also failed to report messages indicating the woman, known as ‘A’, and a second woman had been subject to emotional and physical abuse – and repeatedly accessed pornographic websites at work.

The panel also heard PC Perry was assigned a case involving an adult webcam performer who had reported threatening messages, but two days later he looked up sexually explicit images of her online.

In 2016, he made inappropriate comments about former England footballer Adam Johnson, who was jailed that year for sexually abusing a child.

The gross misconduct hearing, held in Boston between July 11 and 12, found PC Perry had breached standards of professional behaviour and committed gross misconduct.

He was dismissed from Lincolnshire Police without notice.

Deputy Chief Constable Craig Naylor said: “I expect all Lincolnshire Police officers to maintain the highest standards of professional behaviour. We will not tolerate any conduct that undermines the trust and confidence people have in the service we provide.

“It must have taken great courage for the people involved in this case to speak to us and I am grateful they chose to do this.”
