West Yorks  officer stabbed
A West Yorkshire Police officer has been stabbed in Leeds city centre.
Officers had been pursuing the offender, who they knew was in possession of a knife, and after a struggle one officer was stabbed twice.
He was not injured as he was wearing a stab vest.
The man was finally restrained using a Taser.

Former detective on rape trial
A former North Wales Police detective is on trial accused of raping two women.
Timothy Jones allegedly attacked one woman after she was called to the station to discuss her complaint about a separate rape. He then allegedly raped another woman at her home in 2007.
He resigned from North Wales Police ahead of disciplinary proceedings.
Mr Jones denies three counts of rape.

Police dog honoured
A Wiltshire police dog is to receive an award at Crufts after being stabbed in the line of duty.
German shepherd Anya was stabbed in the chest in January 2008. Her handler, PC Neil Sampson, was also badly hurt, but both recovered and are back on frontline duty.
Somali translator Essa Suleiman, 27, was jailed for nine years for the attack.

Man jailed for punching officer
Grant Morton, 23, has been jailed for 27 weeks after repeatedly punching a Lothian and Borders Police officer.
As well as attacking PC Rachel Campbell, who suffered swelling to her face, Morton made death threats to other officers.
Morton admitted the attack and a breach of the peace.
