ABM UK, specialists in criminal intelligence IT, is to benefit from tracing and intelligence gathering information provided by identity management company, GB Group.

Through a single interface, forces using ABM’s intelligence-led software will now be able to quickly and accurately trace individuals and gather intelligence using GB Accelerator IQ Online, which offers the widest and most current UK population data.

ABM will be able to provide online access to the most up-to-date address and telephone information within its intelligence and incident management applications providing police officers with information such as accurate name, address, telephone number and business data. It will also be possible to confirm if a telephone number is ‘live’ at a particular address for a specific person within 24 hours or whether an individual has ceased use of an address.

GB Accelerator IQ Online’s searching technology uses multiple methods to find an address, such as radius, dual name and previous or existing spouse, partner or neighbour searching. This makes it is possible to trace the movements of individuals over time, vastly increasing overall success rates and reducing the time taken to find them.

This technology is underpinned by the National Register®, a regularly updated database of 48 million individuals and households developed by the GB Group.

Anton Roe, operations director at ABM UK, said: “This exciting collaboration will dramatically improve the speed and quality of the investigative process, significantly reducing the time spent on administration. For example, an officer using our covert operation solution (COPS) to track a suspect’s movements, will now also be able to verify all their contact details without even leaving the system.”
