Synelec Visual Systems has announced details of its latest rear-projection display unit that is specially designed for small control rooms.

Demonstrated at this year’s Integrated Systems Europe event, the new C50X model is the first in a series of displays developed by Synelec, the French subsidiary of Clarity Visual Systems.

The new C50X has a 50-inch display, uses single chip DLPTM display technology and has XGA resolution (1,024 x 768). Synelec states that both the technical and physical properties of the system have been designed for restricted spaces, with front and rear access and a modular design intended to ensure that installation and maintenance of the unit is fast and straightforward.

Christophe Nivet, Marketing and Communications Manager at Synelec, said: “Despite their critical input to an organisation – and often the wider environment – control rooms often have limited space in which to operate. Synelec has recognised the market need and responded by developing its digital display technology to provide a solution to this issue.”

The C50X can be connected to Synelec’s Indisys visualisation system, the company’s original high-performance image digital network. An additional 67-inch screen will be available later this year.
