MPS officer charged under Proceeds of Crime Act
A Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) officer has appeared in court charged with two offences under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
She is also accused of hiding cash.
Her offending is said to involve a sum of around £20,000.
Kashif, of the Met’s central east command unit, did not enter any pleas to the charges when she appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday for a brief hearing.
She was released on bail until her next appearance, at Southwark Crown Court on June 9.
Kashif was suspended from duty by Scotland Yard following her arrest in July last year.
