MPS officer faces misconduct charge over inappropriate contact with teens

A Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) officer is to appear in court charged with two counts of misconduct in public office in relation to allegations of inappropriate contact he had with two teenagers he met through the course of his duties.

Police Constable Adnan Arib, based at the Central East Command Unit, will make a first appearance before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 16.

The charges follow a criminal investigation undertaken by the Independent Office for Police Conduct following a referral from the MPS in July 2019.
