MOPAC hires new chief executive
The Mayors Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) has announced the appointment of Paul Pugh as interim chief executive and monitoring officer.
The Mayors Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) has announced the appointment of Paul Pugh as interim chief executive and monitoring officer.
Mr Pugh will take on the role while the search for a new chief executive takes place over the coming weeks with an aim to make a permanent appointment by the end of the summer.
He has previously held a range of senior roles across the government, NHS, police, and education. He was previously chief executive of Centrex (now part of the National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA)), was director of the Police and Crime Standards Directorate, and is currently director of operations at the Identity and Passport Service.
He replaces former chief executive Catherine Crawford, who retired from the role two weeks ago after 12 years as the top policing advisor in London. Her deputy, Jane Harwood also stepped down from her role with immediate effect.
