The Mayor of Wolverhampton has been arrested after cannabis plants were found by police at an industrial unit close to his home.

The Mayor of Wolverhampton has been arrested after cannabis plants were found by police at an industrial unit close to his home.
Liberal Democrat Malcolm Gwinnett was detained by officers from Staffordshire Police at the weekend on suspicion of growing cannabis after a raid in Wombourne.
He said the plants were found in an annexe near a unit he rents out and denies any wrongdoing.
The 58-year-old has been released on police bail.
