The man charged with making hoax claims relating to the Yorkshire Ripper investigation in the late 1970s has denied perverting the course of justice at Leeds Crown Court.

The man charged with making hoax claims relating to the Yorkshire Ripper investigation in the late 1970s has denied perverting the course of justice at Leeds Crown Court.
John Humble is accused of sending three letters and a tape to West Yorkshire Police officers investigating the murders of women later found to have been killed by the ‘Yorkshire Ripper’, Peter Sutcliffe.
Humble was remanded in custody until 20 March.
