A police officer whose duties included guarding the Duchess of Cambridge has settled with the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) over race discrimination and wrongful dismissal claims.
Police Constable Ricky Haruna`s employment tribunal reached a consensus by “mutual agreement and with no admission of liability”, the MPS said.
Ms Haruna, 40, was sacked for gross misconduct last June but always maintained this only happened after she`d made a claim of racism against a fellow officer.
She was later reinstated with full pay after a successful internal appeal against her dismissal.
The officer then continued to pursue the force at an Employment Tribunal.
The MPS confirmed the case had been settled on Monday (June 20) but refused to elaborate on any financial compensation.
“We do not discuss the terms of settlement agreements,” a statement said.
