A recognised codeword is believed to have been used by the group after packages were sent to offices in Oxford, Brighton, Canterbury, Slough, Aldershot, Reading and Chatham.
It is almost a decade since dissident Republicans targeted the British mainland. The coded message sent to The Irish News said attacks would continue when and where the IRA see fit.
