The Forensic Science Service (FSS) has been awarded a contract worth more than £1m to provide development and training for the police criminal evidence laboratory in Abu Dhabi.

Under the contract, the FSS will provide training in a range of forensic disciplines, upgrade quality processes of the criminal and forensic labs, implement the latest procedures, and develop a DNA database. The two-year contract also includes the supply of DNA database software.
