Former officer to face court over sex assault charges
A former officer from Cambridgeshire Constabulary is due in court to face charges that he sexually assaulted a woman he met on an online dating app.
The charges against ex-Police Constable Benjamin Mace relate to an incident that occurred while he was off duty and result from an investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
The 38-year-old will appear before Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (February 16) charged with one count of sexual assault by touching, contrary to Section 3, Sexual Offences Act 2003.
