Peterborough United supporters are being invited to join a new social media site for the latest match-day updates.

Cambridgeshire Constabulary has launched a new account on Twitter to provide followers with ‘Posh’-related information on a range of issues including travel, safety, incidents, designated pubs and coach arrangements.

The account has the support of the football club, which will help provide updates and ‘re-tweet’ messages.
It is also open to opposition fans who visit the city.

Hayley Cobb, the force`s digital communications officer, said: “Twitter is an excellent way of keeping people right up to date with the latest information.

“Our aim will be to give helpful information to Peterborough United and opposition supporters so they can make informed decisions on issues such as travel and ticket allocations.”
