Derbyshire Constabulary’s chief officer team has changed last week following the exit of one of its Assistant Chief Constables.

Mick Creedon, who has been Assistant Chief Constable (Operations) for the last three years, has left the force.

He has taken up a new role as National Co-ordinator of a new Level 2 Serious and Organised Crime team.

Detective Chief Superintendent Carl Barker has been promoted from his role as head of Crime Support to the post of acting Assistant Chief Constable (Operations).

In turn Detective Superintendent Steve Cotterill has been promoted to acting Detective Chief Superintendent.

At last week’s meeting of Derbyshire Police Authority, Chief Constable David Coleman and the authority led by Chairman Janet Birkin thanked Mr Creedon for his service and welcomed ACC Barker into the new role.
