A 19-year old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of two police officers in Bradford.

A 19-year old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of two police officers in Bradford.

The man is believed to be Yusuf Jama, who has been sought, along with his brother Mustaf and Muzzaker Shah, for the murder of PC Sharon Beshenivsky and attempted murder of her colleague PC Teresa Milburn.

The officers were shot on 18 November when they responded to a personal attack button being pressed at a travel agents and came across an armed robbery.

West Yorkshire Police said the man was arrested following an armed `incident` in the Saltley area of Birmingham and would be transported to West Yorkshire. No information is available on the whereabouts of the other suspects.
