Assistant Chief Constable(s)

SALARY: £115,026 (PLUS A PACKAGE OF BENEFITS)

The Northern Ireland Policing Board (the Board) is seeking to appoint a number of inspirational leaders as Assistant Chief Constables within the PSNI to support the Chief Constable, Deputy Chief Constable and Chief Operating Officer in delivering on the PSNI commitment to be a victim focused police service that places victims at the heart of everything the organisation does.

The successful candidates will already have demonstrated a breadth and depth of operational command experience and have a proven track record of leading people and performance, role modelling values and driving change in policing.

They should be strong, visible and resilient leaders who will work with the community, colleagues, partner organisations and stakeholders to support the delivery of the PSNI’s neighbourhood policing, crime prevention and organisational culture transformation strategies.

The successful candidates should be comfortable representing the organisation at all levels, with strong relationship management skills, an ability to motivate and inspire people, encouraging innovative thinking and a problem-solving mind-set to get the best out of officers and staff. If you have the skills, professionalism and enthusiasm needed or one of these key roles the Board looks forward to hearing from you.

Candidates must have successfully completed the Strategic Command Course (SCC), the Police Executive Leadership Programme (Level 5) or equivalent and have extensive operational command experience.
