The funeral of Greater Manchester Chief Constable Michael Todd will take place on Good Friday.

The funeral of Greater Manchester Chief Constable Michael Todd will take place on Good Friday.

The ceremony will be a private service held in Nottingham, where his family live.

A memorial service for Mr Todd will be held at Manchester Cathedral in April.

It is expected that dignitaries from Greater Manchester will be joined by senior representatives from The Metropolitan Police and the Home Office at the Manchester service, which is scheduled for April 11.

Mr Todd, 50, was found dead on a mountainside in Wales last week.

Mr Todd`s wife Carolyn and their three children will attend a private funeral near the family home in Halam, Nottingham.

It will be for family and close friends only.
