The Isle of Man police force is under new leadership with several senior staffing changes taking place across all operations.
A series of promotions came into force on Monday following the promotion to chief constable of Mike Langdon and to deputy chief constable of Gary Roberts.
Chief Insp Carolyn Kinrade is promoted to superintendent, taking responsibility for detective functions and for developing a cohesive approach to Island security.
She will be assisted by Chief Insp Dave Hughes, who will act as lead senior investigating officer, and by Chief Insp John Mitchell, who will run the Financial Crime Unit.
He already leads the department as an inspector, but as a reflection of the importance of this unit, his post has been upgraded.
Also working with Supt Kinrade will be Insp Kevin Willson, responsible for fighting drug trafficking, and Insp Phil Shimmin, previously a sergeant in drug trafficking, who is promoted to run the constabularys public protection unit.
Insp Sid Caine will deal with major crime and Acting Insp John Scarffe will have responsibility for the financial crime units operations.
Chief Insp Peter Young will take charge of a new department, operational support services, where he will be assisted by inspectors Nigel Shimmin and Richard Power.
The department will be responsible for a variety of issues, including professional standards and roads policing.
Chief Constable Mike Langdon said: This is an exciting time for the constabulary. The strong new line-up of senior and middle-ranking officers means that I have around me a professional, talented team.
They will lead the constabulary forward as we continue to develop neighbourhood policing, whilst at the same time seeking to strengthen our approach to issues of national security.
