AudioSoft has announced the launch of AudioPC-HS, designed to provide an evidentially approved standard in long-term recording of hostage and siege situations.
With optional hardware built to MIL SPEC, recordings are stored onto a hard disk buffer, and then automatically archived onto two DVD-Rs to provide both master and working disks. All recordings are time and date stamped for evidential purposes and confirmation is provided that the DVD-Rs contain a faithful copy of the data in the buffer.
The common and intuitive interface allows users to quickly master both the operation of recording, live monitoring as well as search and replay of existing recordings. AudioPC-HS is supplied in either a 19 industrial rack mount format or a ruggedised portable two-piece system comprising the Flexpac recorder with fold out keyboard and the separate brief case containing the signal conditioning units.
AudioPC-HS supports simultaneous playback and replay of both current and previous recordings whilst still recording both at the recorder and on networked PCs.
By using the latest streaming technology it is possible for anyone with appropriate user access to view live data remotely on the police network. User access rights ensure that only appropriate personnel have access to different types of covert and overt data.
