A high definition internet protocol (IP) camera has been produced at half its previous size.

The AV1300 camera has been miniaturized to 2.5 inches long, enabling it to fit into the smaller dome formats. It also reduces the weight by nearly half and power usage by 15 per cent.

AV1300M is a state-of-the-art 1.3 mega pixel resolution IP camera designed to deliver full motion high definition digital video across local area networks. The camera’s output gives a maximum resolution of 1,280(H) x 1,024(V) pixels at a frame rate of 30 frames per second. It is possible to program the camera to output a variety of lower resolution images.

Equipped with a LAN connector, the camera can deliver image data at a maximum data rate of up to 55 megabits per second. Images are sent over the network in a compressed motion JPEG format.

Features include automatic exposure, automatic multi-matrix white balance, shutter speed control, 50/60Hz flicker avoidance, programmable brightness, saturation, gamma, sharpness, windowing and decimation, simultaneous delivery of full-field view and zoomed images at video frame rate, instantaneous electronic zoom, pan and tilt, and electronic image rotation by 180 degrees.

The camera can be powered by up to a 48V DC power source or over ethernet with IEEE 802.3af compliant power supply.
