Cell door partnership announced

GAME Engineering and Pickersgill-Kaye have announced a joint venture to develop advanced cell door locks. GAME has recently seen success supplying Kaye Class 1 cell locks to Crown Courts, HM Prisons and Young Offenders Institutes, as well as Immigration Removal Centres.

Kaye Class 1 has undergone extensive development in consultation with various government departments and is now installed in a number of custody suites in the UK, including Cleveland and Essex.

The company`s Prison and High Security Department Manager Kevin Bennett commented on the link with the lock manufacturer: “Our attitude is that we stand or fall on the quality of our product, so to be able to have a partnership with the company that manufactures the best in lock technology is a very positive development. Pickersgill-Kaye has been very thorough in its development of the custodial lock and the company`s philosophy is very complementary to our approach. We know our products aren`t the cheapest, but they are amongst the best.”
