Mets traffic officers use PDAs
The Mets traffic officers have become the first in the country to use PDAs (personal digital assistants) to issue fixed penalty fines for offences ranging from using a mobile phone whist driving to driving through a red light.
The Mets traffic officers have become the first in the country to use PDAs (personal digital assistants) to issue fixed penalty fines for offences ranging from using a mobile phone whist driving to driving through a red light.
Officers can now input the traffic offence data directly into the personal digital assistant and, from there, the data is then transmitted to the Traffic Criminal Justice Unit.
