National Occupational Standards development for the inspection of public services

The agency will work in collaboration with other organisations in response to the Governments proposal to bring together the five existing Inspectorates for the police, prosecution, courts, prisons and probation in England and Wales.
Robin Field-Smith, HM Inspector of Constabulary (Personnel, Training and Diversity) said: The development of NOS for those working in the inspection field is long overdue. It will be important that all the HR processes associated with the creation and maintenance of the new single inspectorate for justice, community safety and custody are underpinned by a full set of NOS. All the existing inspectorates must support Skills for Justice in this important area of work.
