PhoneBase upgraded

Following extensive consultation with police forces and law enforcement agencies all over the world, Envisage Systems have updated their original PhoneBase system to include a Phone Memory Module that now allows data stored on the handset’s memory to be downloaded by infra red link or cable directly to a PC.

Importantly, PhoneBase reads information from a SIM card or phone memory but cannot write to it, maintaining the integrity of the evidence.

PhoneBase is a low cost mobile phone analysis system that can give officers a full report on the content of a mobile phone’s SIM card that includes lists of phone numbers and associated names, recently made calls and text messages. Mike Phillips, CEO of Envisage Systems said: “Mobile phones are increasingly found as part of a crime situation and may be seized by the police as a source of evidence or criminal intelligence.

Getting at the contents of the phone in the shortest possible time is often vital, as is preserving the integrity of the phone and its contents for evidence.
