Lancashire officer charged with corruption offences
A Lancashire Police officer is due in court charged with conspiring to supply a Class A drug and corruptly exercising police powers.
PC Hakeem Mahmood, 30, is alleged to have conspired with others to supply a Class A controlled drug and participated in the criminal activities of an organised crime group between August 2024 and January 2026.
He is due to appear at Burnley Crown Court today (August 14).
The case follows an investigation by Lancashire Constabulary’s Anti-Corruption Unit, under the direction and control of the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
The IOPC said the investigation concluded in June, when the case was referred to the Crown Prosecution Service.
The CPS subsequently authorised charges of conspiring to supply a Class A controlled drug and the corrupt or improper exercise of police powers and privileges by a police constable.
