The Authority is advertising for two exceptional police leaders to join Police Scotland's Executive team and support the Chief Constable to shape the next important phase of policing in Scotland.
Alasdair Hay, Chair of the Scottish Police Authority, will lead a panel to appoint the Assistant Chief Constables. He said: “These are significant leadership roles in the second largest police force in the UK.
“We are seeking senior officers with ambition, energy, and commitment to join Police Scotland and work
to deliver the vision for policing. The successful candidates will be resilient leaders who can drive and deliver
excellence in policing and work collaboratively and creatively with others to deliver better public services
and foster an environment where the workforce can flourish.”
The deadline for applications is noon on Sunday 24 May 2026.
The Authority expects to announce successful candidates in June 2026.
