Your thoughts on police leadership?
The Police Foundation (UK) is calling on UK police leaders to share their views in a series of focus groups aimed at supporting the work of the Police Leadership Commission.
Conducted in partnership with the College of Policing, the Commission seeks to understand what good leadership looks like today and what changes need to be implemented to ensure it is fit for the future.
The Foundation said it is especially keen to hear from sergeants, inspectors, chief inspectors and superintendents. Eight participants from each rank are being asked to join a 90 minute in-person discussion in one of two locations across the country.
The focus groups will explore individual experiences of leadership and also seek views from participants on what defines excellence in police leadership.
Participants will receive £75 shopping e-vouchers and up to £50 for travel expenses. Participation must be outside of work hours to get the participation fee.
- Sergeants: Manchester on Monday 9 March – 18.30 – 20.30
- Inspectors: Manchester on Tuesday 10 March – 18.30 – 20.30
- Chief Inspectors: Bristol on Monday 16 March – 16.30 – 18.30
- Superintendents: Bristol on Monday 16 March – 19.00 – 21.00
