New board member appointed to NI Police Rehabilitation and Retraining Trust
Northern Ireland Justice Minister Naomi Long has announced the appointment of Acting Chief Superintendent Norman Haslett as a board member of the Police Rehabilitation and Retraining Trust (PRRT).
A/Chief Supt Haslett is appointed as the statutory nominee of the chief constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI). His position was effective from January 5, 2026.
The PSNI officer has a policing career spanning almost 30 years.
Ms Long said: “I would like to congratulate Mr Haslett on his appointment and wish him every success for his term of office at the Trust.”
PRRT is an Executive Non-Departmental Public Body of the Department of Justice. It provides psychological therapies, physiotherapy, coaching and development, training and education programmes (in accordance with assessed needs) to support police officers retiring from the PSNI, or the Royal Ulster Constabulary GC (RUC GC), and other justice partners.
