Officers, staff and volunteers among those honoured by King

Among the 1,157 recipients honoured for going “above and beyond for their communities” in the 2026 list are 37 police and law enforcement personnel of various ranks, recognised for their invaluable contribution to policing.

Chair of the National Police Chiefs’ Council, Gavin Stephens, said: “A huge congratulations and well done to all of those recognised for their service to policing in His Majesty the King’s New Year Honours List.

“Policing is a job like no other, and one which requires a tremendous amount of commitment, dedication and courage.

“Honours like this are an important reminder that police personnel’s individual and collective efforts to keep our communities safe are truly appreciated, and I am so pleased to see so many of the policing family recognised again this year. Each recipient is thoroughly deserving of the honour, and they should feel immensely proud.”
