Essex Police is continuing to drive down crime and enjoy record levels of public confidence. Our officers and police staff protect and serve a county which offers every possible challenge and opportunity for you to develop your career. With international air and sea borders, our proximity to the capital and a large rural community, the force is big enough to solve and prevent the most serious crimes, while retaining its sense of identity and a genuine police family culture. That’s why you will routinely see our force in the news as achieving amazing results for victims and locking up criminals, and shouting about it, is who we are.
In addition to the operational variety our force can offer, by virtue of our size and our diverse communities and geography, you will be based in a county characterised by its entrepreneurial spirit. Essex also boasts a mix of urban and rural areas, the county is a centre of international, national business and travel and of course borders London.
We’re a force that values everyone, that values professionalism and which is focused on delivering the best possible service.
Our main effort is clear: we tackle Violence, we support and safeguard Victims, we deal with Vulnerability, and we make sure we are Visible to everyone, making sure we never take public trust for granted.
