Members of the drone team were travelling along Blackpool Road in Preston on Monday evening (June 9) when they spotted a red van being driven dangerously.

The officers attempted to pull over the driver but the van failed to stop and instead rammed into the police vehicle. The driver then attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended. No officers were injured.

Commenting on social media, a member of the Lancashire Constabulary Tactical Operations Unit wrote: “Drone team having a leisurely drive along Blackpool Road at Preston when a red van caught their attention driving dangerously. Van failed to stop and rammed the police before making off and failing miserably at running away. One arrested. Only drone in the county now offline.”
